QuickOne Scanner is a document scanner for iPhone, iPad and Android. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your information, on both platforms. It is written to be accurate rather than reassuring; where a third party is involved, it says so, and where the two platforms genuinely differ, it says that too.
The short version. Your scanned documents never leave your device. QuickOne Scanner has no account system, no cloud sync, no ads, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not operate a server, and we never receive your documents, your images, or the text recognised from them.
1. Information we collect
None. The developer of QuickOne Scanner collects no personal information. There is no sign-up, no login, no account, and no user profile. We do not use any analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDK. We have no server that receives data from the app.
2. Your documents and scanned images
Scans, page images, recognised text, tags, folder names, and document titles are stored only in the app's private storage area on your device. Other apps cannot read them. They are never uploaded anywhere.
All processing happens locally on your device: edge detection, image enhancement, the Original / Grayscale / Black & white filters, cropping, text recognition, the full-text search index, and the keyword rules that suggest a tag for a document. None of it involves a network request, and none of it is sent anywhere for processing.
When you use Share, Export, or the ZIP backup, you choose where a copy goes. Once you hand a file to another app — email, cloud storage, messaging — that app's own privacy policy applies to the copy you gave it.
3. Network access
On iPhone and iPad
The app makes no network requests at all. There is nothing to download and nothing to send. The capture screen is Apple's own VisionKit document camera, which ships with iOS, and both text-recognition models are compiled into the app — so the very first scan works on a device that has never been online.
On Android
QuickOne Scanner declares the INTERNET permission. It is not used
to send your documents anywhere. It is there for one thing:
- The capture screen. The camera view with automatic page detection is a component of Google Play services, and Google Play services downloads it the first time you scan. After that first download, scanning works offline.
Text recognition needs no download on either platform. Both recognition models the app uses — Latin and Chinese — are compiled into the app itself, so OCR runs offline from the very first scan.
4. Third-party components
On iPhone and iPad, the only system component the app uses for capture is Apple's own, and it processes on your device. On Android, QuickOne Scanner uses components provided by Google; we do not control what those components report to Google, and Google's use of any such data is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not this one.
On neither platform is there an analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDK.

For transparency, and this applies to the Android build only:
Google's ML Kit and Play services libraries include Google's own diagnostic and
usage-reporting components, and it is those libraries that add the
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission to the app — we did not request it.
Any such reporting is Google's, is described in
Google's Privacy
Policy, and reaches the developer of QuickOne Scanner not at all. The
contents of your documents are not part of it. The iOS build contains no Google
library and nothing equivalent.
5. Permissions
On iPhone and iPad

That is the only prompt the app shows. It requests no photo-library permission — importing a photo goes through the system picker, which hands over only the file you chose — and no location, contacts, microphone or notification permission. There is no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because the app does not track you across other companies' apps and websites and has no advertising identifier to ask for.
On Android

The Android build does not request camera permission — capture happens inside Google Play services, under its own permission. It does not request storage or photo-library permissions either; scans are kept in app-private storage, and importing a photo goes through Android's system picker, which grants access to the single file you chose and nothing else.
6. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. Deleting a document in the app removes its page images and its recognised text from your device. Uninstalling QuickOne Scanner removes everything the app stored.
There is no cloud backup, and that cuts both ways. Because nothing is uploaded, a lost, reset, or broken phone means the scans on it are gone — we cannot restore them, because we never had them. Use Settings → Export library as ZIP to keep your own copy somewhere safe.
7. Payments
There are none, on either platform. QuickOne Scanner is free, with no subscription, no in-app purchase, no scan allowance, no ads and no watermark, so the app never handles payment information and no payment processor is involved.
8. Children
QuickOne Scanner is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects nothing from anyone, there is nothing to delete on request — but see section 6 for how to remove data from the device itself.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store and on Google Play.
